Setup Choice

Setup Choice allows the user to select one of the standard setups or one of the customer setups to view the data. The setup choice field provides all setups available for the user based on the users permission group. For each data object, a set of predefined standard setups is provided by the ServiceGrid. The standard setups are marked with the “*” symbol. The customer may define customer specific additional views.

Sorting

Lists can be sorted by clicking on the label of the column. The basic sorting is sort by the first column of the list view.

Selections

Records can be selected by filling the requested selection values into the selection form. The % symbol can be used as wildcard symbol. In setups, search fields can be defined, so that wildcard symbols are automatically added.

Grouping and Counting

Records can be grouped and counted by selecting one or many columns in the list. Grouping by can be used for a number of columns marking the group checkboxes for the columns to be grouped. The number of records found in the group is displayed in the first column. By clicking on the number of records found, the records are displayed in detail. The back arrow buttons bring back the last selection.

Hierarchy/Tree View

For certain data objects, a hierarchical view is provided. The tree view hierarchy is available in the following list views:

  • Locations
  • Users
  • Devices
  • Calls

For device setups, the search field scope of the tree can be chosen in the master data of the setup. “First level” is the standard choice and gives one line of search fields. “All levels” results in 5 rows of search fields. This function allows to search in different levels of the tree.

History Log

For certain data objects, a history view is provided. The history log function is available for the following data objects:

  • Locations
  • Devices
  • Calls

For location and device setups, the ShowOnlyChangedRecords function is available. This function is activated in the standard setup for locations. The history view only displays history records containing changes. The changes can be easily found as they are displayed in bold text.
