Overview

SD.bridge is integrated into the Cisco ServiceGrid application as a module. It contains a number of functions to implement transaction-based connection between ServiceGrid and service partner systems. The connection methods, transaction types, and transaction content are customizable to fit the requirements of different systems. The design of SD.bridge is module-based and consists of a number of available transport methods (SMTP, FTP, HTTPS POST, HTTPS SOAP, and Rosettanet), a flexible layer to customize the transaction content and syntax, a framewok to define workflow, and transaction types.

Use Case: Connecting the ITSM application of a service provider with the ITSM application of a service customer.

A company as a service provider has a number of service customers running different service management systems. The service requests are escalated from the service customers through ServiceGrid to the service provider using a single B2B connection between the service provider ITSM application and ServiceGrid.
