Operation Console (OAMP): Adding a gateway in OAMP gives error message if gateway’s hostname starts with a number

Problem Summary In OAMP, when a gateway’s hostname that starts with a number is entered, CVP gives an error message.
Error Message Hostname is invalid. Valid hostnames contain uppercase and lowercase alphanumeric characters, period, underscore, and dash.
Possible Cause The hostname entered starts with a number. It must start with an alphabet character, not a number.
Recommended Action Check the gateway’s host name. If the hostname starts with a number, change the hostname so that it starts with an alphabet character instead.
Release 8.0(1), 8.0(2), and 8.5(1)
