When you configure the Presence Gateway field in Cisco Unified Presence Administration, you enter the IP address. Cisco Unified Presence cannot collect presence information such as calendar or meeting status.

What Caused it?

Typically, this failure happens because the IP address that you enter does not match the Common Name (CN) in the Exchange certificate.

What Can You Do?

1. When you configure the Presence Gateway field for Exchange integration, enter the same CN as shown on the certificate. You need to enter an exact match (to the letter).

2. If you configured the Presence Gateway field correctly, and things still don't work, review these logs:

  • Presence Engine logs (required)
  • Exchange (OWA) IIS logs (optional)
