Cisco Network Registrar (CNR)
Definition
Software product that provides IP address management and highly scaleable and redundant DHCP (RFC-2131, authored by rdroms) and DNS servers. Devices supported include Data-Over-Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) cable modems and PCs. Cisco Network Registrar also provides enhanced Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) server capabilities.
CNR offers unique capabilities such as classes of service and extension points to allow extensive customization to provision DOCSIS cable modems, TR069 devices and packetcable MTAs.
DHCPv6 (RFC-3315) is fully supported in the 7.0 release.
