General Troubleshooting: Procedure to Change the IP Address of Unified CVP Call Server

Problem Summary Procedure to change the IP address of Unified CVP Call Server
Error Message None
Possible Cause There is a requirement to change the IP address of the Unified CVP Server in the network.
 

1. Create a new device from the Operations Console. From the menu bar of the device, select the Use As Template option. Assign the new IP address to the device and click Save.

Note: Do not click the Save and Deploy option until you have changed the physical server to the new IP address.
2. Delete the device from the Operations Console before changing the IP address of the server.
3. Delete the old license f the device from the following path: C:\Cisco\CVP\conf\license\cvp.license.
4. Configure the new IP address on the local server.

For Unified CVP 9.0(1) and earlier releases, skip Step 5.

5. Starting with Unified CVP 10.0(1), a batch file is made available at C:\Cisco\CVP\bin\UpdateRMIServerIP\updatermiserverip.bat. Double-click the batch file to update the IP address in the windows registry and the wrapper.conf file.
Note: The batch file is made available only from 10.0(1) ES 1.
6. From the Operations Console, select Save and Deploy the new device.

7. Re-host the license.
8. Restart the server.
