Welcome to the UK Network Automation Tracker.

We will be using this space to document our progress on automation projects and initiatives. It will be used as a way for management to get a clear picture of what we are working on, in addition to providing details of a Point of Contact for each initiative.

Fleet Automation

Feature Description Contact Expected Completion
Site Audit The site audit script will replace manual fleet audits (currently conducted by Operations/OIS engineers and project managers in spreadsheet format). These are used by the Fleet management team to estimate costs for a fleet implementation. This data collection process will be automated end-to-end and data will be viewable in the Fleet Automation tool. Fleet management will also have the ability to pull the traditional spreadsheet format from the Fleet Automation tool. Jamie McGregor 10th February
Engineer Audit The engineer audit script will retrieve, for a specific site, the device list including a 'show inventory', 'show ip int brief | in up' per device, the devices current IOS, VLAN information and IP ranges with DNS names. This is a time consuming procedure used by engineers before a fleet is undertaken to understand the scope of work to be completed. This will be view-able in the Fleet Automation Tool.
