Finesse Server Trust Management

Problem Summary To provide a secure Finesse Desktop, the identity certificates of the server hosting the Expert Assist Gadgets must be added to the Finesse Tomcat trust-store. This article provide steps to acheive this.

The following steps describe how to add identity certificates of the server hosting the Expert Assist Gadgets to the Finesse Tomcat trust-store:

  • Obtain the REAS cluster’s certificate

In multi-node cluster scenarios,The simplest way to do this is to navigate to a page hosted securely on the REAS Installer CAserver via a browser e.g. Firefox:
https://reas-address:8443

 Download the REAS server certificate should be used. This can be copied from:via the browser as a .pem format.
/opt/cisco/REAS-<version>/domain/configuration/security/default-trust/trust-certs.pem

Note: The REAS installer CA signs all REAS identity certificates. When this CA certificate is imported into Finesse’s trust-store, all REAS identity certificates will be trusted

  • Add the REAS certificate Finesse’s Tomcat trust-store
