Desktop: Agents and supervisors with IDs that match reserved words cannot sign in

Problem Summary A Unified CCX agent or supervisor with an ID that matches a reserved word attempts to sign in to the desktop but sign-in fails.
Error Message Cannot connect with the notification service. There may be a configuration mismatch. Please contact your administrator.
Possible Cause

Finesse does not support using reserved words for an agent or supervisor ID. If an agent or supervisor ID matches a reserved word, that user cannot sign in to the Finesse desktop user interface. The user appears to sign in using the Finesse API but no events are published for that user.

Reserved words that should not be used for an agent or supervisor ID are as follows:

  • admin
  • finesse
  • xmpprootowner
  • presencelistener
  • cuicnodewatchuser
  • cuicpresenceuser

Note: You cannot use the reserved words for IDs whether they are upper case, lower case, or any combination of the two. For example, do not use admin, ADMIN, or Admin.

Recommended Action Change the agent or supervisor ID to something that is not a reserved word. Make sure none of the reserved words are used for agent or supervisor IDs.
