Cisco Unified Presence Plug-Ins

The table below describes the plug-ins that you can integrate in Cisco Unified Presence.

Plug-In Name Description

Cisco Unified Presence AXL SQL Toolkit

Cisco Unified Presence AXL SQL Toolkit is a zip file that contains a Java-based toolkit for sending and receiving SQL statements and results. This plug-in communicates with the AXL interface of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and it includes a sample SQL file and instructions for executing on a client system.

Cisco Unified Presence MOC Remote Call Control Plugin

The Cisco Unified Presence Microsoft Office Communicator (MOC) 2007 Remote Call Control plugin that allows the user to select any phone device that they wish to control via MOC. Instead of building functionality into MOC itself, this feature makes use of a MOC plug-in URL that points to Cisco Unified Presence at the back end. Users control the device selection from within their MOC client.

Cisco Unified Presence Real-Time Monitoring Tool- Linux

Cisco Unified Presence Serviceability Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT) is a client tool that monitors real-time behavior of the components in a Cisco Unified Presence cluster. RTMT uses HTTP/HTTPS and TCP to monitor device status, system performance, device discovery, and CTI applications. It also connects directly to devices by using HTTP/HTTPS for troubleshooting system problems.

Installing Plug-Ins on Cisco Unified Presence

Before You Begin
  • Register for an account on Cisco.com to access the software download site.
  • Before you install any plug-ins, turn off all intrusion detection or antivirus services that run on the server where you plan to install the plug-in.


Procedure
  1. Select Application > Plugins.
  2. Find the record. See the Finding a Network Component topic for instructions.
  3. Select the plug-in name that you want to install, as described in Table 1: Cisco Unified Presence Plug-Ins.
  4. To download the plug-in, select the Download hyperlink.
  5. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the installation.

Updating the Plug-in URL in Cisco Unified Presence

As plug-ins are downloaded to Cisco Unified Presence, records that are added to the Plugins table specify the URLs that the Administration applications use to build the Application menu. The domain name server (DNS) provides the basis for the URL that is constructed at installation time. If the DNS changes, the URL is not updated.


Procedure
  1. Select Application > Plugins.
  2. Complete Step 1through Step 4 in the Installing Plugins topic above.
  3. Select the hyperlink corresponding to the Plugin name that you want to update.
  4. Enter the URL in the Custom URL field.
  5. Enter any other configuration settings that you require as described in the table below.

Field Description

Plugin Name

From the list box, select the Plugin Name for which you are changing the URL.

Plugin Type

From the list box, select the Plugin Type for which you are changing the URL; for example, application or installation.

URL

The URL automatically displays.

Custom URL

Use only alphanumeric characters for the custom URL.

Show Plugin on User Option Pages

Check to show the plug-in on the User Option window.


6. Select Save.
