The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Phone View allows you to conveniently access certain Cisco Unified MeetingPlace features by using the screen and buttons on your Cisco Unified IP Phone. For example, you can use your Cisco Unified IP Phone to join meetings, start reservationless meetings, view a list of upcoming meetings, and view meeting details. After joining a meeting, you can perform in-meeting operations such as locking the meeting, recording the meeting, viewing a list of participants, and muting or ejecting participants.
The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Phone View is available only to Cisco Unified IP Phones that are registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Note: The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Phone View is not supported with the following:
- Cisco Unified CallManager Express
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express.
- If the installation is co-located with Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing servers with SSL enabled

Determining the Cisco Unified IP Phone Model
To determine the model of a Cisco Unified IP Phone, complete these steps.
- Press the Settings button. (If this button is not labeled, then press the button just below and to the right of the round ? or i button.)
- Select Model Information.
Determining the Firmware Version on a Cisco Unified IP Phone
To determine which firmware version is loaded on a Cisco Unified IP Phone, complete these steps.
- Press the Settings button. (If this button is not labeled, then press the button just below and to the right of the round ? or i button.)
- Select Status.
- Select Firmware Versions.
- Read one or both of the following fields:
- App Load ID
- Version
