System Requirements
Before installing the Microsoft Office Communicator for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace integration, read System Requirements.
Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005
Install and test the Microsoft Live Communications Server (LCS) on a separate Cisco MCS that has Microsoft Windows 2003. See the Microsoft documentation for information.
Ensure that the Microsoft LCS Server works with MOC clients.
Tip: We recommend that you use the TLS protocol for communication between the Microsoft LCS Server and the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace LCS Gateway. To do so, you must identify the servers by hostname rather than by IP address. If you choose to identify a server by hostname, ensure that DNS is enabled to resolve the hostname.
Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Server
Install the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Server. This is the same server on which you will install the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace LCS Gateway.
Download and install Microsoft .NET 2.0 on the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Server.
The msoft_int License
The msoft_int license enables you to integrate your Cisco Unified MeetingPlace system with Microsoft Office Communicator. You can install the Microsoft Office Communicator for Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 7.0 integration without it; however, you cannot use the integration without this license. See About Licenses for more information.
