Follow this procedure to reset the password on the Audio and/or Video Blades on the 3545 Media Server:
- Connect your computer directly to the serial port of the blade via a null modem cable.
- Press Enter to display the -> prompt.
- If the -> prompt does not appear, press Ctrl-X to reboot the blade.
- From the -> prompt enter:
- -> modifyTargetDevice
- NOTE: This is case sensitive and all one word.
- At the main menu, enter P to change the password.
- Enter the user name for the administrator.
- Enter a new password for the administrator.
- At the main menu, enter Q to quit and reboot the blade.
The following is an example output of the password reset process:
