Follow this procedure to reset the password on the Audio and/or Video Blades on the 3545 Media Server:

1. Connect your computer directly to the serial port of the blade via a null modem cable.
2. Press Enter to display the -> prompt.

   If the -> prompt does not appear, press Ctrl-X to reboot the blade.

3. From the -> prompt enter:

   -> modifyTargetDevice

   NOTE: This is case sensitive and all one word.

4. At the main menu, enter P to change the password.
5. Enter the user name for the administrator.
6. Enter a new password for the administrator.
7. At the main menu, enter Q to quit and reboot the blade.

The following is an example output of the password reset process:

-> modifyTargetDevice

Board security level changing to [0 low]:
Set icmpRequestBlock to 0

Setting security level from nvRam [0 low].

P: Change the configuration software password
S: Configure network security level
M: Change Media Controller (MCU\GW) IP address
R: Enable/Disable RS232 Console 
A: Advanced configuration menu
Q: Quit 

Select: 0xe9d4810 (tShell): P

Enter user name: admin

Enter new password: NVSetLoginUser OK
Deleting old user admin password xxxxxxxx
