Note: We recommend that you dedicate a Cisco MCS or exact equivalent on which to install Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing.

The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing installation program installs the following components:

  • Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Gateway SIM
  • Web Conferencing server software
  • (If the local server option is chosen) SQL Server 2000 and service pack 4
  • Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing meeting room

The installation program will reboot your system four times if you are installing SQL Server 2000 locally, or two times if you are using a remote SQL Server.

Prerequisites for Installing the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Server

  • Confirm that the operating system is configured with the correct time zone and daylight savings time settings.
The installation will not function properly if you do not configure the system to observe daylight savings time in a time zone that requires it. To avoid this problem, synchronize your system time using a reliable, external NTP server.

Caution! Do not change the time zone of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Server after it has been installed. The Breeze application uses the time zone selected during installation. If you change the time zone on the Microsoft Windows server after the installation, then there will be a mismatch and audio will no longer be recorded.

  • If you are using SQL Server on a remote, standalone server, ensure that the time is synchronized with the Application Server and the Web Server.
