Prerequisites for Installing the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace LCS Gateway

  • Verify that your system meets the System Requirements.
  • Your Microsoft Live Communications Server environment must be deployed and tested with the Office Communicator client prior to installing the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace LCS Gateway. Refer to the Microsoft documentation for instructions on installing LCS.
  • In order to use the TLS protocol for communication between the LCS server and the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace LCS Gateway (strongly recommended), you must identify the servers by hostname rather than by IP address. If you choose to identify a server by hostname, ensure that DNS is enabled to resolve the hostname.
