Problem Summary Outbound calls that are detected as fax or answering machine are marked as abandoned calls.

Possible Cause

The call gets disconnected from the gateway before the Call Progress Analysis (CPA) was completed. Hence, the call never gets detected as fax or answering machine. If the call gets disconnected within the configured Abandoned Call Wait Time, then the call is marked as customer abandoned.

Recommended Action

Investigate why the call got disconnected from the gateway before the Call Progress Analysis (CPA) was completed.
