System CLI: System mode takes a long time for initialization on first attempt or "system init"
Problem Summary | System mode takes a long time to complete on the first attempt or after issuing the "system init" command. |

Error Message | No specific error message. |
Possible Cause | In general, this process takes a long time as the System CLI needs to access each device on the device list to authenticate access and obtain initialization data. The wait could be magnified if there are a lot of devices in the device list are offline. The System CLI has to wait for network timeout when connect to these offline devices. |
Recommended Action | Make sure devices on the device list are online and take offline devices off the device list. Device list contains devices configured in the Operation Console. |
Release | 8.0(1) |
Associated CDETS # | None. |
