Unable to Set SMTP Configuration for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center

Problem Summary

Cisco Unified Intelligence Center SMTP configuration from appadmin page [Appadmin Tools > Historical Reporting > SMTP Configuration] fails.

Error Message

Error occurred while saving SMTP configurations.

Possible Cause

REST calls for SMTP configuration always made to Cisco Unified Intelligence Center on the publisher node. Cisco Unified Intelligence Center service may be down on the publisher node. Check the Serviceability page for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center service status.

Recommended Action
  • Start the Cisco Unified Intelligence Center service on the publisher node if it is down.
  • Check Unified CCX/Cisco Unified Intelligence Center logs if the service is up, but the configuration fails.
