Problem Summary You see errors when you import a Groovy script.
Error Message The User Interface will show this error: “The following fields are invalid: Script Source: Invalid input”

Logs may also show "Unexpected char" errors similar to this:

   , Message=startup failed: Script1.groovy: 1: unexpected char: '\' @ line 1, column 2. ^
Possible Cause You did not save the file as plain text or the editor you used was not optimized to handle multi-byte characters.
Recommended Action Edit and save the file as UTF-8. Use a reliable editor such as Eclipse or Notepad++ to edit Groovy scripts. Check to make sure that the file was not saved as "rich text," which will insert special characters. Resave the file as plain text and retry the Import.
