ciscoBus controller
Definition
The ciscoBus II controller card (CSC-CCTL2) provides two functions for the Cisco AGS+ router: it interconnects the system bus (Multibus) with the ciscoBus for routing packets between ciscoBus and system bus interfaces, and it performs packet-switching functions on the ciscoBus using its onboard processor and 512 KB of dedicated packet memory.
Details
The CSC-CCTL2 uses bit-slice processing to provide high-speed autonomous switching of data packets on the ciscoBus without having to access the system processor across the Multibus.
