Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP) was developed by Cisco to address the issues associated with routing in large, heterogeneous networks. Compare IGRP with Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP). Also see IGP, OSPF, and RIP.
