The information on this page is relevant to all installations that include web or video conferencing or integrations with third-party applications. Before upgrading to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.1, you must start from a Release 6.0 (MR5) system.


About Upgrading to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing Release 6.1

With Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.1, Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing and all Cisco Unified MeetingPlace integration components must be installed on a Cisco MCS server running a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based Cisco MCS operating system.


Upgrading to Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.1

Upgrade the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace components and integration applications in the following order:

  1. Upgrade Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server. For more information, see Upgrading the Audio Server Software to Release 6.1.
  2. Upgrade the Gateway SIM. For more information see Upgrading the Gateway SIM to Release 6.1
  3. Upgrade Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing. For more information, see Upgrading the Web Server Software to Release 6.1.
  4. Upgrade any of the following applications:
    Note: Back up your notification templates before upgrading these applications.
  5. Upgrade Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Directory Services. For more information, see Upgrading Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Directory Services
