Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Release 6.1 > Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server > Maintaining > Creating, Uploading, and Deleting Custom Voice Prompts

The procedures for customizing voice prompts assume the following:

  • You have a Windows PC and are proficient with using the Windows command line.
  • You are familiar with basic Unix commands, including navigating the file system.
  • You are familiar with logging on to the Command Line Interface (CLI) for the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server and accessing utilities as a superuser.
  • The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace system is up and running.

NOTE: Cisco Unified MeetingPlace prompts are based on numerical assignments, so a prompt might be named "prompt1". When you record a custom prompt for a certain language, the system adds a numeric offset for that language. (For example, for French, the numeric offset is 400000.) So the prompt number for "prompt1" when played in French would be 400001.

However, the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace system will not play custom prompts for languages other than US English for the following music and silence prompts; that is, Cisco Unified MeetingPlace will always use the US English prompts regardless of their availability in other languages.
