The shadow server is a backup Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server that can replace the primary Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server in case of a Cisco Unified MeetingPlace system or site failure. Having a shadow server ensures that complete Cisco Unified MeetingPlace functionality is maintained with a minimum loss of time and disruption in service.<br /> <br /> <br /> In the following sections, the term &quot;primary server&quot; refers to the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server that is used on a daily basis.
