Charts and Gauges: Gauge value update failed.
| Problem Summary | When you save a new gauge, you see an error that the value update failed. |
|---|---|
| Error Message | Gauge value update failed. The footer is null or not a number. |
| Possible Cause | This means that the field you selected for the gauge does not have a footer defined. As a result the gauge cannot display any value. |
| Recommended Action | If you have a Premium license, you can resolve this by defining a footer for the field on the Report Definition (Fields Tab > Select field > Edit Formatting).
If you have a Standard license, select another field in Gauge Editor. |
