Accessibility: Selecting items on a dropdown using the keyboard

Problem Summary You need to select an option from a dropdown list, and you do not have a mouse.
Error Message None
Possible Cause The keyboard is your only interface to the user interface.
Recommended Action To select items from a dropdown list using the keyboard:
  • Tab to the field that has the dropdown list.
  • Type any text in the field name to display the list.
  • Press Tab to move the cursor into the list.
  • Use the up or down arrows to navigate to the selection you want.
  • Press Enter to close the list and save the selection.
