Application Velocity and Control
Welcome to Application Velocity and Control (AVC) DocWiki.

Data center consolidation and cloud has changed how applications are delivered to the end users. Network now has critical role in delivering optimal experience to the users, while providing tools for network admin to better monitor, troubleshoot, and control application performance. Traditional port-based network does not have granularity to control today applications. Application Visibility and Control (AVC) is an overall initiative which enable application awareness in enterprise WAN. AVC is based on several underlying technologies like NBAR2, Flexible Netflow (FNF), Performance Agent (PA), QoS and Performance Routing (PfR) and available with ISR G2 and ASR1K. .
